The 'Children-Sunbeams' Center held a New Year's fair of children's crafts in Krasnodar
A New Year’s fair organised by the Sunbeam Children’s Center brought together handmade crafts, performances, and festive treats. The event showcased the talents of children with Down syndrome, who spent months preparing for the occasion. All proceeds went toward supporting the centre’s lifelong assistance programs.
The fair featured a variety of handmade items, including clay crafts, Christmas ornaments, and gingerbread cookies. Children also made soap and other decorations, demonstrating skills they had honed over six months of practice. Among the participants was Nikita Bogdayuk, who crafted clay plates and delicate angel figurines.
The event was open to the public, offering visitors a chance to enjoy performances as well. The children took part in a New Year’s matinee, presenting dances, songs, and puppet theatre skits. Their efforts reflected the centre’s focus on creative arts, education, and social adaptation.
The Sunbeam Center, which developed the fair’s concept, provides ongoing support for families raising children with Down syndrome. Its programs cover everything from early education to lifelong skill development, ensuring participants receive continuous guidance.
Funds raised from the fair will help sustain the centre’s initiatives. The event highlighted the children’s creativity and dedication while reinforcing community support for their development. Proceeds will directly benefit educational and artistic activities at the Sunbeam Children’s Center.
