The Landmark London Claims UK's Top Workplace Title for a Decade Straight

The Landmark London has once again been named the UK's best hotel to work for. The luxury hotel secured the top spot in the Best Companies Award 2024—its tenth consecutive win. Staff praised the company's values, fair pay, and commitment to the community in the latest survey results.

The hotel introduced a four-day work week for its chefs in early 2022, alongside higher wages. This move followed ongoing efforts to improve working conditions and staff satisfaction. A recent survey revealed that 91% of employees believe the organisation operates on strong principles, fostering a culture of respect and continuous improvement.

Fair pay remains a priority, with 71% of workers agreeing their salaries match their responsibilities. Beyond wages, the hotel supports career growth through an apprenticeship scheme and a dedicated training academy. Wellbeing initiatives, including special wellbeing days and activities, further boost morale.

The Landmark London also stands out for its social impact. In 2023, guests contributed £22,000 to Debra, a local charity, by opting to add £1 to their bills. Additionally, 90% of staff reported that the hotel actively gives back to the community. The company's internal platform, VIPerks, strengthens engagement by offering communication tools, benefits, and recognition for employees.

These efforts earned the hotel a third-place ranking among the UK's best large businesses and second place in London's regional category. It also reached the top three finalists for the special Wellbeing Award.

The Landmark London's tenth straight Best Companies Award highlights its consistent focus on employee welfare and community support. With initiatives like the four-day work week, fair pay, and wellbeing programmes, the hotel maintains its reputation as a leading employer in the UK's hospitality sector.
