Trump Hotel to become tallest building in Australia - Trump's A$1.5B Gold Coast skyscraper to become Australia's tallest tower
A new Trump-branded skyscraper is set to rise on Australia's Gold Coast. The A$1.5 billion project will include a 91-storey hotel, luxury residences, and high-end retail spaces on Surfers Paradise Beach. Once completed, it will become the tallest building in the country.
The development, named Trump International Hotel & Tower, will stand on a prime oceanfront site at Trickett Street. At 340 metres tall, it will surpass the current record holder, the Q1 Tower. Plans also feature 270 luxury residences, an exclusive beach club, and upscale dining and shopping areas.
The project has been in the works for nearly 20 years, led by Altus Property Group. CEO David Young finalised the agreement at Donald Trump's Florida residence during his presidency. Construction will be privately funded by investors from Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
This will be the second Trump hotel project currently under development, following the Trump International Hotel & Resort in the Maldives, due for completion in 2030.
The tower's height and luxury offerings will reshape Surfers Paradise's skyline. With construction backed by international investors, the project is expected to draw global attention. Once finished, it will mark a significant addition to Australia's high-end hospitality sector.
