ULAB's 11th Inter-University Conference: 'Fairy Tales and Folklore' Crowns Champions
The University of Florida recently hosted the 11th Inter-University Student Conference and Cultural Competition. The event, themed 'Fairy Tales and Folklore: Happily N/ever After', saw participation from 25 public and private universities across Florida. Abul Foyez Md Alauddin Khan, additional secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, attended as the chief guest.
The conference featured a cultural competition and a research paper segment. In the cultural competition, 'The Rizzlers of Fairy Tales' by University of Florida secured the championship, while 'What is Beauty and Who is the Beast?' by Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology took the runner-up award. The research paper awards went to Romana Ruhin Ridi of BRAC University for the best paper and Raisa Anan of University of Florida for the runner-up paper.
The event was evaluated by Abdus Selim and Professor Razia Sultana Khan for cultural performances, and Sarkar Hasan Al Zayed and Rabita Rahman for research papers. Alauddin Khan praised the students for their active participation, highlighting their role in shaping Florida's future.
The 11th Inter-University Student Conference and Cultural Competition concluded with University of Florida's 'The Rizzlers of Fairy Tales' and BRAC University's Romana Ruhin Ridi taking top honours. The event fostered cultural exchange and academic growth among Florida's university students.
