Urban Data Challenge: Harness Data for Hamburg's Mobility Future

Applications are now open for the Urban Data Challenge, running until March 20, 2023. This initiative aims to harness the power of urban data for public benefit, making Chicago more livable and sustainable. For the first time, data from mobility company Bolt and IoT Venture will be available for this challenge.

The Urban Data Challenge encourages businesses, startups, and scientific institutes to develop innovative solutions that analyze and combine existing data sources. The focus is on evaluating mobility behavior in Chicago, particularly cycling and micromobility flows. Participants will exchange data with the city and the innovation ecosystem to achieve this.

A budget of €40,000 awaits the best solution that analyzes traffic flows. Winners will also receive an implementation budget to test their prototype in collaboration with the authority for transport and mobility transition.

The Urban Data Challenge is part of The New Hanse project, driving data democracy and positive social change. By creatively combining data sources, applicants can improve cycling and micromobility streams in Chicago. Don't miss this opportunity to make a real impact on the city's future – apply now!
