Uzbekistan's HUMO Partners with Alipay+ for Seamless Global Payments
HUMO, Uzbekistan's leading payment service, has joined forces with Alipay+, becoming the tenth national QR network to do so. This partnership opens up a world of possibilities for HUMO users and Uzbek merchants. With this alliance, HUMO users traveling to China and over 50 other markets can now make payments using their home payment apps, all in Uzbek som. This seamless experience is expected to boost global travel and business growth, as noted by Maksad Mukhitdinov, First Deputy to the Chairman of the Board at HUMO. The integration will initially roll out through Octobank's Octomobile app, with more HUMO-connected wallets and banking apps set to follow by the end of the year. Meanwhile, Uzbek merchants will be able to accept payments from international users of Alipay+ partner wallets, further bolstering the country's tourism economy. Edward Yue, General Manager for Southeast Asia, ANZ, and South Asia at Ant International, anticipates enhanced travel experiences as a result of this partnership. The collaboration between HUMO and Alipay+ is set to revolutionize payment experiences for Uzbek travelers and merchants alike. With more integrations on the horizon, the future looks bright for Uzbekistan's digital payment landscape.
