WPP Media Shakes Up Leadership to Drive AI and Automation in Europe
WPP Media has announced two key leadership appointments in its DACH and European operations. The moves come as the agency strengthens its focus on automation, AI, and client growth across the region. New business wins with major brands like Aral, Jaguar Land Rover, and Henkel have also boosted the agency's momentum.
Katja Reis joins WPP Media from Publicis Media, taking on the role of leading Media Management & Delivery for the DACH region. Based in Düsseldorf, she will report to Claus Bröckers, CEO of WPP Media DACH, and join the region's Executive Committee. Her responsibilities include driving operational excellence and sustainable growth across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Reis will oversee a team of over 1,000 specialists, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions for clients. Her appointment follows a similar transition by Olivier Korte, who also moved from Publicis Media to the agency.
Meanwhile, Fabian Kietzmann will continue as Executive Vice President for Media Management & Delivery in Europe. He will now report directly to Michael Karg, CEO of WPP Media Europe. Kietzmann's role will emphasize advancing automation, AI capabilities, and platform skills—areas he has already championed. He will also collaborate with Reis to support growth in the DACH region.
The leadership changes follow a period of talent departures from WPP Media, with several senior figures leaving for competitors or independent projects. Despite this, the agency has recently secured new contracts with major clients, including Reckitt and Kenvue.
Reis and Kietzmann will lead efforts to expand WPP Media's capabilities in automation and client service. The agency aims to strengthen its position in Europe while addressing recent talent shifts. Their roles will be central to delivering on the agency's growth plans in the coming months.
