Wyndham Hotels shatters records with 259,000-room global expansion in 2025
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has reported a year of strong growth in 2025, breaking multiple company records. The firm expanded its global presence, boosted shareholder returns, and achieved its highest ever organic room additions.
Despite a dip in revenue per available room (RevPAR) in the final quarter, the company's development pipeline and financial performance reached new highs.
The company signed 870 new deals in 2025, beating its previous all-time high by 18 agreements. This surge helped push its global development pipeline to a record 259,000 rooms by the end of the year. The pipeline now includes over 2,200 hotels, marking a 3% increase in room capacity compared to 2024.
Wyndham also opened a record 72,000 rooms—a 13% jump from the prior year—while achieving its highest ever net room growth. International markets played a key role, with net rooms rising by 9% globally. Mainland China stood out, where direct franchising grew by 14%.
Financially, the company returned $393 million to shareholders and generated $433 million in adjusted free cash flow. Ancillary fee streams climbed by 15%, adding to the year's strong performance. However, fourth-quarter global RevPAR fell by 6% in constant currency, with domestic figures similarly down by around 6%, excluding hurricane-related disruptions.
Regional growth was widespread, with EMEA, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim all reporting net room increases.
Wyndham's 2025 results highlight a year of rapid expansion and financial strength. The company's record-breaking pipeline, room openings, and shareholder returns reflect its growing global footprint. Meanwhile, regional growth and fee revenue increases suggest continued momentum in key markets.
