Astana's Koktal neighbourhood unites for Körisu Künü traditions and blessings

Residents of the Koktal neighborhood in Astana gathered with elders and young people to mark Körisu Künü, a traditional holiday of mutual respect and goodwill, reports our website.

The festive event brought together locals to socialize and share their wishes for the future. Mothers prepared national dishes, treating attendees to bauyrsaks (traditional fried dough) and other Kazakh delicacies. The stage featured folk songs and traditional Kazakh dances, lifting the spirits of all who attended. Young performers from Koktal Junior Hall also took the stage, entertaining the crowd with singing and dancing.

Elders blessed the youth, wishing prosperity and unity for the people.

"Körisu Künü is an ancient tradition of our people, reflecting mutual respect and kindness," said one of the elders present. "Such celebrations strengthen the bond between generations."

The gatherings foster neighborly relations, social harmony, and mutual respect while promoting national values. Körisu Künü remains an enduring tradition that embodies peace and the spiritual unity of the Kazakh people.

The celebration of Nauryz begins on March 14 and lasts for ten days, following the Nauryz-Nama concept. Each day is dedicated to a specific theme, aimed at preserving and promoting national traditions and values.
