Almaty's 2026 Food Festival Celebrates Culture Through Cuisine on May 1

Date: May 1, 2026, 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM Location: Abai Square (56 Dostyk Street, in front of the Palace of the Republic)

The event will feature around 15 restaurants and representatives of ethnic and cultural associations, showcasing the national cuisines of the diverse ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan. Each establishment will present traditional dishes that reflect the cultural distinctiveness, history, and culinary heritage of different peoples.

Visitors and city guests will have the opportunity to explore Almaty's rich gastronomic diversity and gain deeper insight into the cultural legacy of the country's ethnic communities.

The initiative aims to strengthen interethnic harmony, foster cross-cultural exchange, and promote culinary tourism in the city.
