Benidorm ramps up street cleaning ahead of Easter tourist surge
As the Easter holiday approaches, Benidorm is rolling out an expanded street cleaning and waste collection plan to cope with one of the busiest periods of the year. The coastal hotspot is adding 54 extra workers to its sanitation teams, aiming to keep the city spotless as visitor numbers soar.
The temporary reinforcement will run through the peak holiday window, when the population swells and public spaces face increased pressure. With processions, events, and packed beaches on the calendar, local authorities are moving early to protect the city's polished image.
