Gaylord Hotels Unveils Massive Summer Program with DC Superheroes and Festivals
Gaylord Hotels is rolling out its biggest summer programme yet across six resorts nationwide. Running from late May to early September 2026, the events will feature themed activities for families. Two new festivals, including a DC-inspired superhero event, will expand to more locations this year. The Super Hero Summer featuring DC will now take place at four resorts: Gaylord National in Maryland, Gaylord Pacific in California, Gaylord Palms in Florida, and Gaylord Rockies in Colorado. Guests can enjoy character dining with DC heroes, scavenger hunts, atrium light shows, and themed pool parties. Fireworks displays will also light up the evenings.
Meanwhile, the **All-American SummerFest** will debut at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville and Gaylord Texan in Texas. The expanded programming comes as family travel trends shift toward experiential stays. A 2026 Tripadvisor report found that bookings for child-friendly activities have risen by 19% compared to last year. Gaylord’s focus on intellectual property partnerships and season-long events aims to make vacations feel more engaging. Research shows 84% of travellers want family playtime on trips, with 58% of parents and grandparents planning screen-free periods. The resort’s packed activity calendar is now a key factor in booking decisions.
