Primorsky Krai sees mixed price shifts in travel and essentials in April 2026
Residents of Primorsky Krai faced mixed price changes in April 2026. While some travel and goods became cheaper, other essentials and holidays saw noticeable increases. The cost of living shifted in different directions depending on the category. Holidays abroad showed contrasting trends. Package tours to Turkey rose by 9%, making them significantly more expensive for local travellers. Meanwhile, trips to Russia’s Black Sea coast dropped by 3%, offering a more budget-friendly option.
Travel to parts of Asia became more affordable. Flights and tours to Central Asia fell by 7%, while Southeast Asia saw an even sharper decline of 31%. Trips to China also became 2% cheaper, adding to the savings for those heading to the region. Back at home, consumer prices in Primorsky Krai edged up by 0.4% overall. Some everyday items rose sharply: onions climbed by 6% and table beets by 7%. Certain medications also jumped in price, with troxerutin, validol, and activated charcoal rising between 5% and 11%. On a positive note, used imported cars dropped in price by nearly 2%, providing some relief for buyers in the second-hand market.
The latest figures reveal a split in spending pressures for residents. While travel to some Asian destinations and used cars became more affordable, essential groceries and medicines grew pricier. The 9% hike in Turkish holiday packages stands out as the steepest increase among leisure expenses.
