Contiki's New Southeast Asia Trips Swap Buses for Tuk Tuks and Vespas in 2026

Contiki is launching two new Southeast Asia trips in November 2026. These itineraries focus on local transport and active travel experiences. Both aim to give travellers a deeper connection to the region’s culture and landscapes. The Ride Cambodia trip spans eight days, using tuk tuks as the only mode of transport. Groups of up to 14 people will explore rural areas and lesser-known attractions. Highlights include an overnight homestay in Kampong Khleang on Tonle Sap Lake and visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The itinerary also covers historical landmarks like the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Choeung Ek Genocidal Center.

The **Ride Vietnam** trip lasts six days and relies on Vespas and motorbikes. Travellers will ride through central Vietnam, crossing the scenic Hai Van Pass and enjoying a food tour in Hoi An. A motorbike food tour in Da Nang is also part of the experience. Both trips were designed after Contiki’s *Voice of a Generation* survey revealed that 82% of young travellers prefer more active and movement-focused adventures. By using local transport, the company hopes to create a more immersive way to explore the region.

The new itineraries will offer a different way to experience Cambodia and Vietnam. Instead of traditional buses or private transfers, travellers will use tuk tuks, Vespas, and motorbikes to connect with local life. Bookings for both trips open ahead of their November 2026 launch.
