Vinexpo Asia 2026 cements Hong Kong's dominance in global wine trade

Vinexpo Asia 2026 took place in Hong Kong from May 26 to 28, drawing global attention to the region’s wine and spirits industry. The event highlighted the city’s role as a key trading hub, connecting suppliers with Asian buyers and reinforcing its position as a gateway to Greater China. This year’s exhibition marked the 10th edition of Vinexpo Asia. It attracted 14,273 trade professionals from 76 markets and 38 producing countries—up from 35 two years earlier. Around 75% of attendees came from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.

The event also showcased the growth of Be Spirits, with 105 exhibitors from 18 countries. For the first time, nine nations participated, including Austria, Belgium, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia, Tunisia, and Uruguay. Another notable trend was the rise of no-alcohol products, which made up one in 10 exhibitor references, reflecting a shift towards healthier consumption habits among Asian consumers. Asia continues to stand out as one of the most promising long-term markets for the wine and spirits sector. The strong turnout and expanded representation underscored the region’s growing influence in the global industry.

Vinexpo Asia 2026 solidified Hong Kong’s reputation as a vital centre for international wine and spirits trade. The event’s record participation and diverse exhibitor base highlighted the region’s enduring appeal to global suppliers and Asian buyers alike.
