Maharashtra Takes Its Tourism Campaign to Times Square for Global Spotlight

Maharashtra Tourism has launched a promotional campaign at Times Square in New York City. The initiative aims to raise the state’s global profile and attract more international visitors. Officials timed the event to coincide with Maharashtra Day on May 1.

The campaign highlights the state’s varied attractions, from historic forts and cultural landmarks to beaches and scenic landscapes. Urban experiences in cities like Mumbai and Pune also feature prominently in the advertisements.

Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai called the initiative a source of pride for Maharashtra. He described it as a vital move to showcase the state’s tourism strengths on a worldwide stage. Authorities believe the high-visibility location will significantly boost awareness of Maharashtra’s travel offerings. The campaign aligns with ongoing efforts to reinforce the 'Incredible Maharashtra' brand globally.

The initiative is expected to increase international tourist numbers and support economic growth. Officials also anticipate new job opportunities as visitor numbers rise. The campaign marks a strategic push to establish Maharashtra as a top global destination.
