Private jet travel soars in 2025 with record-breaking route demand

Private jet travel surged in 2025, with overall flights rising by 4.6% compared to the previous year. The increase was even sharper on certain routes, where demand more than doubled in some cases. Data shows that 11 key private jet routes experienced dramatic growth in 2025. The biggest jump occurred between Jeddah and Riyadh, where traffic soared by 269%. Another major spike was on the Abu Dhabi to London route, which saw a 238% increase.

The Nantucket to New York route also saw a sharp rise, with flights up by 192%. Similarly, the Washington, D.C., to White Plains connection recorded a 107% boost. European routes were not far behind, with London to Samedan and Nice to Palma both climbing by 137%.

Other notable increases included Cannes to Paris, which doubled in traffic, and Mumbai to New Delhi, where flights grew by 66%. These figures highlight a clear trend: more travellers are choosing private aviation for both short and long-haul journeys. The steep rises on these routes suggest a growing preference for private air travel. With demand climbing across multiple regions, the industry appears set for further expansion in the coming years. The data reflects a broader shift in how high-net-worth individuals and businesses approach air transport.
