Nakhodka's New Octopus Path Trail Nears Completion Along Stunning Coastal Bays

A new 6.2-kilometre tourist trail called The Octopus Path is nearly finished in Nakhodka. The scenic route follows the coastline of Transparent, Otrada, and Kozina bays. Landscaping and final touches are now underway.

Meanwhile, work has started on a bicycle rental pavilion at the end of University Avenue on Russky Island. The structure’s metal framework is being assembled, linking it to the existing bike trail opened last year.

The Octopus Path offers visitors a mix of natural beauty and practical features. Along the route, nine viewing platforms provide rest spots and panoramic views. These include Secret Trail, Tea Hut, Palm, and Traveler’s Tower. Navigational signs and informational boards about Primorsky Krai’s local plants and wildlife are also installed.

Recently, Primorsky Krai Governor Oleg Kozhemyako visited the site. He walked a section of the trail to inspect the progress firsthand. On Russky Island, the new bicycle rental pavilion will serve as an extension of last year’s bike trail. Once complete, it will offer easy access to cycling routes for tourists and residents alike.

The Octopus Path is set to become a key attraction for hikers and nature lovers. Its viewing platforms, educational displays, and coastal scenery aim to enhance tourism in the region. The bicycle rental pavilion on Russky Island will further expand outdoor activities for visitors.
