NVIDIA's AI Expansion in Kazakhstan Sparks Tech and Education Partnerships
Nicolo Caprez, NVIDIA’s Vice President of Global AI Infrastructure Development, recently visited Kazakhstan for high-level discussions. His trip included meetings with government officials, university leaders, and young tech entrepreneurs.
During the visit, Caprez met with Sayasat Nurbek, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education. Their talks explored plans for a new NVIDIA office within a future science park. Expanding high-performance GPU infrastructure and developing AI talent were also key topics.
At Nazarbayev University, Caprez engaged with students and endorsed the institution’s bid to join NVIDIA’s DLI University Ambassador Program. The university’s goal, as stated by Nurbek, is to turn research excellence into practical applications. The delegation also met finalists from the DeepTech Baige startup competition. Discussions covered joint educational initiatives, computing infrastructure growth, and the potential for a new NVIDIA-supported data centre in the country.
The meetings highlighted growing collaboration between NVIDIA and Kazakhstan’s tech sector. Plans for an office, educational partnerships, and infrastructure projects were all advanced. Both sides aim to strengthen AI development and innovation in the region.
