Spirit Airlines slashes Cancun flight prices to $79 one-way for winter escapes
Spirit Airlines has launched a limited-time offer for budget-friendly flights to Cancun. The deal provides fares starting at just $79 one-way from several major US airports. Travellers looking for an affordable winter or early spring getaway now have more options. The promotion covers flights from nine US cities: Baltimore (BWI), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Houston (IAH), Orlando (MCO), New Orleans (MSY), and Philadelphia (PHL). Most routes begin at $79 one-way, though Philadelphia starts at $89, Detroit at $99, and Baltimore at $129.
The discounted fares apply to travel between February 7 and March 6, 2024. Bookings must be made by March 15, 2024, with all trips completed by April 30, 2024. The airline is also expanding its Mexican routes, with new service to Tulum (TQO) set to begin this spring.
Members of Spirit’s Free Spirit loyalty programme can earn bonus points on these flights. Roundtrip bookings qualify for 1,500 extra points, while one-way trips earn 750 points. Affordable flights to Cancun during peak winter and spring break periods are often hard to find, making this offer stand out. The promotion gives travellers a chance to visit Cancun at lower-than-usual prices. Those booking with a travel rewards credit card could also earn additional benefits. The deal remains open for reservations until mid-March, with travel possible through the end of April.
